化学学者接踵而至 学术报告一天能听好几场

近期,兰州大学化工学院迎来了又一个学术报告的高峰期,海内外学者和化学领域的大牛纷至沓来,学生们每天可以聆著名学者的学术报告,这种情况已经持续了两个多月了。这显示了作为世界级的化学研究中心,兰大化学已经在国内外具有良好的学术声誉和科研影响力。下面随便列举几个最近刚举办的学术报告,给各位化学研究人员一个了解大牛的机会。现在像这样的学术报告在兰大一直在举行,尤其是化工院,从不间断。

报告一

Athanassios Giannis教授简历:1954年出生于希腊兹拉马(Drama),1980年毕业于德国波恩大学(University of Bonn),1986年在波恩大学获得生物有机化学博士学位。1992 年在波恩大学副教授,1997 年在卡尔斯鲁厄大学(University of Karlsruhe)任教授,2002 年起在莱比锡大学任教授(the University of Leipzig)。当前的研究兴趣集中在有机化学、生物化学和药物化学。

Scott A. Snyder教授简介
       Prof. Snyder grew up in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY, where his interests in chemistry were forged in high school by a variety of research experiences and an opportunity to attend the National Study Camp for the International Chemistry Olympiad. He then pursued his undergraduate studies in chemistry at Williams College in MA, where he obtained the bachelor degree with highest honors. In 1999, he began his graduate studies with Prof. K. C. Nicolaou at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA. In 2004, he was trained as a NIH postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. E. J. Corey at Harvard University. Prof. Snyder began his independent career in 2006 at Columbia University and moved to The Scripps Research Institute (Jupiter, FL) in 2013, where he was an Associate Professor with tenure. Last month, he relocated to the University of Chicago as a Full Professor.
       Prof. Snyder’s group is well known for the elegant synthesis of diverse polyphenolic and alkaloid natural products as well as the development of several new reagents that have enabled access to a diverse array of halogenated molecules. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award from the ACS (2011), an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Research Fellowship (2010), and the NSF CAREER Award (2009). He has delivered more than 160 Plenary/Named/Invited lectures in the course of his career. In addition to excellent research, Prof. Snyder is also a recognized educator, having co-authored several widely-used textbooks, such as Classics in Total Synthesis II and Organic Chemistry, 11th Edition for undergraduates, both published by Wiley.

Hirohisa Ohmiya教授简历:Hirohisa Ohmiya is an Associate Professor of Hokkaido University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University (Japan) in 2007 under the supervision of Professor Koichiro Oshima. He spent one year as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow in the group of Professor Timothy F. Jamison at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). In 2008, he became an Assistant Professor at HokkaidoUniversity (Japan) working with Professor Masaya Sawamura. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2010. He received The Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Scientists (2014), Thieme Chemistry Journal Award (2015), and The Young Scientists’ Prize, The Commendation for Science and Technology by MEXT (2015). His current research focuses on the development of new catalytic reactions and their application to organic synthesis.

Dietmar Kuck教授简历:Prof. Kuck studied chemistry from 1968 to 1972 at the University of Hamburg, Germany. He received his doctoral degree from Bielefeld University in 1976 with Professor H.-F. Grützmacher. From 1978 to 2014, he had permanent scientific appointments at Bielefeld University (Academic Assistant, Academic Director 1985, Professor 2002). In 1983, he made a postdoc stay with Prof. N. M. M. Nibbering at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In 1988, he received the Mattauch-Herzog Award for Mass Spectrometry (German Mass Spectrometry Society). From 1995 to 2000, he served as a Lecturer at the University of Paderborn, Germany. His research interests are (1) Gas-phase ion chemistry and mass spectrometry and (2) Synthetic organic chemistry and supramolecular chemistry of three-dimensional polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (“centropolyindanes”) and their derivatives. Scientific responsibilities (selected): Member of the Executive Boards of the (1) German Mass Spectrometry Society (DGMS, 1995-1998, 2001-2013), (2) International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF, 2006-2012).
Hak-Fun Chow教授简历:Prof. Chow obtained his B.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees from the Department of Chemistry at the Chinese University in Hong Kong. In 1981, he obtained the Croucher Foundation Scholarship and began his PhD study in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Ian Fleming at Cambridge between 1981 and 1984. Afterwards he then spent 1 year of postdoctoral study with Prof. Dieter Seebach at ETH-Zurich and another year with Prof. George W. J. Fleet at Oxford. In the years between 1987 and 1992, he worked as a research scientist in Dow-Elanco near Oxford,UK. He moved back to CUHK in 1992 to become a lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer in 1997, and a Professor in 2005. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and a Chartered Scientist of the Science Council, UK. He was a recipient of the Faculty Exemplary Teacher Award in 2001 and the Croucher Senior Research Fellowship in 2006. Currently he serves as the Director of the Center of Novel Functional Molecules and the China Regional Editor of Synlett.

于澍燕教授简介:
于澍燕教授,湖南省张家界市人。1983年毕业于兰州大学化学系稀土无机化学专业,并于1991年兰州大学物理化学专业获得硕士学位,1994年在南京大学化学化工学院获得博士学位。先后在中国科学院、日本分子科学研究所、美国德州农工大学、香港大学做博士后研究。中国科学院“百人计划”入选者,卢嘉锡优秀导师奖获得者。


报告六

应甘肃省有色金属化学与资源利用重点实验室、化学化工学院邀请,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者、北京大学化学与分子工程学院张亚文教授于2015年9月12日来我校进行学术交流并作学术报告。报告会于上午9:00在第二化学楼101报告厅举行,报告题目为“氧化铈基纳米催化材料的可控制备化学及其CO氧化的构效关系”,报告会由化学化工学院卜伟锋教授主持。
张亚文教授主要从事稀土-贵金属纳米材料化学的研究,在稀土和贵金属纳米材料的液相可控制备、组装及构效关系的研究方面做出了重要贡献,解决了用单一分子前驱体热分解法制备单分散稀土化合物功能纳米晶的通用控制合成方法的难题。本次报告会,张亚文教授深入浅出地讲述了其课题组十多年来在氧化铈基纳米催化材料的可控合成化学及催化功能基础方面的研究进展,系统阐述了基于溶液平衡化学原理发展的氧化铈基纳米材料尺寸、形貌、维度、组成、晶相及微结构的可控制备方法。以CO氧化作为模型反应,分析了纳米材料的颗粒特性、织构、掺杂结构等对其催化性质的影响及调节作用。
报告会现场气氛活跃,张亚文教授就氧化铈基纳米催化材料的结构、形貌控制、相关研究的发展动向等与现场师生进行了深入地讨论,大家受益匪浅。
来自甘肃省有色金属化学与资源利用重点实验室、化学化工学院的百余名师生参加了报告会,报告内容丰富,对广大青年教师和研究生开阔研究视野、提高研究水平有很大帮助。报告会后,张亚文教授与我院唐瑜教授、卜伟锋教授及部分青年教师一起就近期研究工作进行了互动交流与讨论,并提出了建议性意见。

F Dean Toste教授简介
Dean Toste was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, but soon moved to Toronto, Canada. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in chemistry from the University of Toronto, Canada, where he worked with Prof. Ian W. J. Still. In 1995, he began his doctoral studies at Stanford University under the direction of Professor Barry M. Trost. Following postdoctoral studies with Professor Robert H. Grubbs at Caltech, he joined the faculty at the University of California, Berkeley in July of 2002, and was promoted to full Professor in 2009. He is currently a Professor of Chemistry at UC Berkeley and a Faculty Scientist of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. The research focus in his group is organic and organometallic chemistry and their use in the development of new synthetic methods, selective catalysts and strategies for the synthesis of natural products. He has published more than 160 research papers, including 4 in Nature, 3 in Science, 80 in JACS and 20 in ACIE. 报告八
应兰州大学化学化工学院和药学院邀请,全国百篇优秀博士学位论文和国家自然基金委优秀青年基金获得者、北京师范大学化学学院那娜教授于8月26日来我校进行学术交流,并作了题为“基于化学发光的传感识别”学术报告。交流会于上午10:00在第二化学楼201会议室进行,由生命分析化学与原子分子工程研究所所长陈兴国教授主持,研究所部分教师和研究生参加了本次交流会。
交流会上,那娜教授介绍了基于催化发光的阵列分析及成像检测方面的研究工作,逐步深入到基于纳米材料催化的光化学传感器阵列,等离子体辅助催化发光传感器对气态烃的分离和用于快速质谱分析的介质阻挡放电离子源的研制等科研成果。报告中,那娜教授还简单介绍了她从学生走向独立科研道路的历程,并谈了感想和体会。报告会后,那娜教授与现场师生就报告内容进行了热烈的交流和讨论,并对研究生的科研工作提出了中肯的建议。

薛文梅博士简介
       薛文梅博士1988年获得兰州大学化学系物理化学专业理学学士学位,1991年获得兰州大学化学系无机化学专业理学硕士学位,1998年获得香港大学化学系理学博士学位。1998起作为“洪堡学者”在德国慕尼黑工业大学诺贝尔化学奖获得者Ernst Otto Fisher实验室,跟随Wolfgang Herrmann 教授和Fritz Kuehn教授,从事金属有机均相催化剂的合成及应用研究。2001年加入美国西北大学Harold Kung教授的团队,从事多相催化剂材料的合成及应用研究。2005年起就职于巴斯夫公司(BASF),从事多种汽车尾气净化催化剂的研究及产品开发。薛博士发表学术论文30余篇,申请专利6项,是Cu Chabazite选择催化还原(SCR)催化剂的主要发明人。薛博士及团队于2010年获得美国新泽西州政府授予的爱迪生专利奖,并于2015年获得北美催化协会大纽约地区分会授予的卓越催化奖。
薛博士及巴斯夫SCR团队首创Cu Chabazite SCR催化剂是将柴油汽车产生的有毒氮氧化合物还原为氮气的最有效催化剂,为汽车尾气净化做出了杰出贡献。经汽车工业界的广泛深度测试,Cu ChabaziteSCR催化剂的卓越催化活性及稳定性于2008年被认可,并于2010年起被广泛用于柴油汽车的尾气净化。同时Cu Chabazite SCR催化剂也引起了学术界的极大关注,越来越多的科学研究致力于探讨Cu Chabazite 卓绝催化性能的根源以及更多的应用。

汪舰教授简历
1997年本科毕业于安徽师范大学化学系。2007年获得美国新墨西哥州大学博士学位,研究领域为合成有机化学。2007至2009年,在美国斯克里普斯研究所从事博士后研究,研究领域为化学生物学。2009年7月起任新加坡国立大学化学系助理教授。 2013年5月全职回国任清华大学医学院教授。 所获奖项包括:Bayer Investigator Award(2015)、Asian Core Program Lectureship (Japan) (2013)、中组部青年千人计划(2012)、国家优秀自费留学生(美国) (2006)等;曾担任欧洲杂志Natural Products Against Cancer 的主编(2012-2014)。多次应邀在国际学术会议上做学术报告,已在ScienceCell Stem CellJ. Am. Chem. Soc.Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等国际学术刊物上发表研究论文100余篇。目前研究兴趣集中于药物开发和合成有机方法学。
